Having searched the Maxwell name back to 1116 and beginning with the name Maccuswell [later abreviated to Maxwell], I have discovered one name that shows up in every generation.  This name is my Grandfathers name, his fathers name and my Grandsons name.  In case of any doubt look up William Maxwell. Try it, it may work.
