Hello Gord!  I am actually from the Brandon area.  But I do have names of appx 3-4 generations worth of Maxwells that settled mainly around the Snowflake area of Manitoba.  Esterhazy sounds very familier though.  I knew a girl my own age who was a Maxwell from there and I believe our parents did know each other.  I will have to find the names and we can see if they lead you anywhere.  I should have an answer for you in a few days.
