I too am decended from John and Isobel McGrew Maxwell through their son James, his son John and then his son, Dr. A.S. Maxwell.  I have wills and estate info on the fist John and his son James from York Co (later Adams County) PA.  I have good info on the second John (b 1767)and Ruth Cypherd Maxwell and their 9 children. How confident are you re the parents of John Maxwell(b724)and his birthplace in Scotland. I have reliable information on the Maxwell's of York CO, PA and the decendents as listed above.
