hi, my greatgrandfather was james maxwell b. ca. 1823 in ky. married elizabeth payton. lived in montgomery co., ky in 1850. later to schuyler co., mo-hancock co., il. where he died ca. 1870-74. his family then to appanoose co. ia. trying to go back another generation.
