Please aid me in discovering my ancestor, Andrew Maxwell who married Elizabeth Campbell 1766, somewhere in the Old Country and promptly left for the Colonies, 1767 arriving near Perth-Amboy, New Jersey. Am I part of the Maxwells from north of the River Clyde, the Glasgow Maxwells, from Nithsdale or  the ones near Dumfries.
