I can relate this to you ma'am. My ancestor Dr. David Maxwell was a country doctor at Berlin, Holmes County , Ohio in 1855. The Doctor was born Mercer County Pa, and his grandfather came from either Pa. or New Jersey. His ancestor Andrew Maxwell married Elizabeth Cambell, 1766, in the Old Country and came to the Perth-Amboy area, New Jersey, 1767.
