I realize this is a very old post, but it may help someone else. William Maxwell, 1794 Ireland, married 1817 in Ireland to Elizabeth Toner, 1797 Ireland.  I show 7 children: John, 1817, Isabella 1820, Robert 1823, Elizabeth 1830, William J. 1835 (my gg grandfather),Mary 1839 and Francis James 1842.  I know that there was a Rachel, as I have a picture of her, but don't know exactly how she fits in in the family. William J. was a circuit preacher and travelled between Hastings Ontario, Daisy Washington, and Michigan.  He married Arvilla Dibble in 1861 in Belleville Ontario Canada.  She died in 1890, he remarried Mercy Chamberlain and died in Daisy WA, 1907.  He had 11 children with Arvilla; William Henry (my gg grandfather), Mary Elisabeth 1865, John Wesley 1868, Margaret J. 1869, Annie Laurie 1871, Robert James 1873,George W. 1875, Alice, 1877, Charles 1879, Earl C. 1884, Sara J. 1887.  The children were born between Ontario, Montreal, and Isabella Co, Michigan.
