My grandfather Jack Maxwell b. 1903 in Liverpool was the only member of his family to come to Australia and as a consequence little is known of our Maxwell heritage.  I believe his father Alexander Maxwell b. 1880 in Motherwell (I think) was the son of a Charles Maxwell born I don't know when, somewhere in Scotland. My father John Alexander Maxwell turns 70 this year and I would love to be able to tell him about his heritage.  He has always felt a strong connection to Scotland and has visited many times. Any advise on how I might trace our roots would be greatly appreciated. Regards Samantha Maxwell
