The Maxwells and Marrs families along with a few others were basically founding families in Tazewell...there is a community called Maxwell, and there are county history books detailing the Maxwell history...If you have read the book Follow the River the story of Mary Draper Ingles captured by Native Americans, the Capt. Maxwell in the historical account is an ancestor although not of direct descent because he probably died without any children but that could be wrong...If you haven't already try a seach on Tazewell County...My grandfather was Henry Mike Maxwell and his father was John Henry Maxwell...just for your info...my mother was a Maxwell...I have a list somewhere, but at one time the Maxwells owned 2,000 acres in Tazewell
