Not in Ireland. The Lords Maxwell lived in Scotland. They becames the Earls of Morton and later the Earls of Nithesdale. One of the Maxwells of Pollock was raise to the peerage but the title became extinct upon his death. Also James Maxwell was Lord Elbotle and later Earl of Dirleton, but the title became extinct upon his death. In Scotland again several Maxwells have become Law Lords the last being Maxwell of Munchies who died in the early 1990's.
Several Maxwells in Ireland have received knighthoods (Sir) but other than the Farnham family, there have never been any other Maxwell peers in Ireland.
