Seeking information / details on one JOSEPH MAXWELL who in 1870 was described as an engineer on a steam vessel, then possibly operating around the Scottish shores. He is identified as the father of a child MARY McCREATH MAXWELL born at Dailly, Ayrshire, Scotland on 6th April 1870.The mother was Mary Hutchison. A marriage date of 1869 is recorded but I can find no trace of alleged marriage at Kilwinning, Ayrshire. Anyone else have any knowledge of Joseph?
