Hey cousin, I must have some middle names or initials mixed up.  My GG Grandmother was Letitia Caroline Maxwell, daughter of Edwin Wilson Maxwell and Caroline Margaret McLarty.  She married  (1) Emanuel VanSant and (2) Martin Gary Butler and had 6 daughters. According to what I have from my Mother,  Dr. Edwin Wilson Maxwell's children were: Mary Cornelia b. 1833 Charlotte, NC Mangum(Mangrum?)Calhoun b. 1836 Charlotte Elizabeth Ann b. 1838, Campbellton GA Letitia Caroline b. 1840 Campbellton John Guy b. 1843 Campbellton Margaret Elizabeth Ann b. 1845 Campbellton William Archibald b. 1848 Campbellton David Alexander b. 1851 Campbellton Edwin Wilson b. 1855 Campbellton How does this compare with your information?   Knowing you're the 3rd, & not having known the Douglasville relatives very well, I couldn't possibly say that above is correct!  I'd appreciate your help in correcting my tree. I remember going to the house across the road from Bright Star Methodist Church several times as a child in the 50's. There was a spinning wheel in the living room?  And, Letitia Caroline Maxwell Butler is buried at the Bright Star Cemetery.  Her daughter Margaret Letitia, married into the Abercrombie clan and she and James S. are buried at Bright Star, too.
