Thomas in mentioned on page 435 of the "Memoirs of the Maxwells of Pollock" "was as Strabane 1 Mar 1679" son also mentioned. Separtately on a website dealing with the History of Scottish Presbyterian Ministers he is listed under John Maxwell as son of John  and "Resident of Strabane" Thoams's eldest brother Sir George Maxwell became 12th of Pollock in 1647, 8th of Auldhouse in 1666.
