I have father of A T Maxwell born in Scotland. Came to America in 1812. Was family doctor in Raleigh N.C. for 50 years. Had brother settle in Philadelphia PA
William Preston Maxwell.. Father of A T Maxwell, born at Maxwell Downs near Glasgow Scotland in 1812. Came to America with his father when he was 6 months old. Lived in Raleigh NC. Asheville SC. Murfreesboro Tenn. Cam to Whitney TX in 1889. Had 5 wives. Fathered 21 sons and fostered two daughters. Died and buried in Murfreesboro, Tenn December 1903 age 96.A cabinet maker.
