She is my gggrandmother.  I have marriage record for her & Benjamin Nichols, January 1822, in Shelby Co., KY, but it doesn't list parents.  She said her mother died when she was 3,  & she was put in the care of a cousin, Minnie Shackleford, in Shelby Co. She also said her father was a blacksmith in Lexington, and that both her father and her brother, Dwight, went off to fight with General Harrison (War of 1812).  She named her first son Thomas and her second son William.  She died 1897 in Emporia, KS.  My aunt looked for decades, and I have been looking for almost a decade, but we haven't found the right Maxwells yet.
