Jesse Gilbert Maxwell jr. Was born 14 March 1872 in Missouri. He died 12 April 1912 in muskogee co. Okla. My grandfather William Henry Maxwell was a younger 1/2 brother of Jesse jr. Jesse Gilbert Maxwell sr served in company H of the 55th Alabama. I am still trying to find more info on Jesse sr. Two of Jesse jr's brothers were killed in a gun battle 29 May 1911 , Jesse jr was a law man who was killed 16 April 1912 in Muskogee Co. , Okla. Jesse Jr. Is buried in Triplett Cemetery , McIntosh Co. , Okla. There's a book titled " Murder in Muskogee " that you may find interesting. Best of luck with your continued search.
