Title: Irish Maxwell Family

Hi Maxwell relations.
i have hit the proverbial brick wall!!!!!
i am able to trace my Maxwell family back to 1790 in Clonaglish, Kill, Co.Kildare, Ireland. Francis (Frank) Maxwell was my great great grandfather. he appears in Griffiths Valuation of Ireland in C1851 for the County of Kildare. We are down to 6 Maxwell males in Ireland, My Brother John and his son Christopher; My first cousin Sean and his son Paul and finally myself and my son Brian. i am 60 years old and i would love to take our family history further back than Frank of 1790. one little consideration for us id that we probably came from a Scottish Protestant background but our line from Frank down are Roman Catholic and maybe that's the cause of the Brick wall as some member of our Family changed religions for Marital purposes (and hopefully for true Love). Records pre 1820s are very difficult to find in Ireland if they exist at all.
Hoping some person out there maybe able to connect with me or provide guidance and help. i have my DNA results on My Heritage and on Ancestry.
Thanks for reading
Warmest Regards
P.J.
