"My" Mary Maxwell would have been born in Ireland around 1824 and emigrated, probably with her family and possibly to Quebec.  Since their first child was born in 1849, I would assume she married Artemas Wilder around 1848.  Artemas was born in (Montreal?) Quebec, then moved to Kingston, Ontario and he and Mary lived on Wolfe Island for about twenty years. They first appear on the Wolfe Island Agricultural Census in 1851 and their religion is listed as Methodist Episcopal. Does anyone have another piece to add to the puzzle?  Beverley
