John Maxwell b. 4 Oct 1801, Glasgow, Lanark, scotland m. in Lanark, Janet Cunningham b. 9 Sep 1798. According to Lanark records, John died 1881, Janet in 1868.  Does anyone know if they are buried in Scotland?  A group of Maxwells in America claim them as ancestors and say that though Lanark Records record the year they died, that thye actually moved to America and are buried in Whiteside, Illinois.  I personally believe athat is a different John and Janet (probably not Cunningham) buried in Ill.  Is anyone familiar with these people?  Does anyone have any way of checking in Scotland to see if this John and Janet Maxwell are buried there?
