Was hoping that there might be a connection somewhere. You have traced back to your ggggrandfather and with the name Wilburn in your family line. as you can see what my name is makes me wonder if there is a tie. My Dad and grandfather has the same name as me with possible variations. my Dad and myself have never met Wilbur(er) the 1st or knew anything about him. My Dad and his Mom are now deceased, leaving very little to go on. My Dad was an only child, my grandfather is a mystery. My Grandmother would not talk very much about Wilbur(er) Austin(e) Maxwell Sr. There is a chance he had brothers and sisters somewhere in the Statesboro, Chatham County area.
