I am trying to trace my ancestery backward and am stuck at James Cornelius MAXWELL (b. Dec. 1847 in th U.S.-enlisted 8 August 1864
in Co B 49th Reg of Missouri Volunteers and was honorably discharged
2 August 1865. According to some of his military pension papers, he left
his home in Missouri in the mid 1870s and went to Colorado and thence
to Prescott. On October 3, 1881 he married Henrietta Densmore of Prescott,
in Prescott, A.T. He worked as a carpenter-contractor in Prescott and
died of "heart failure" 19 Nov. 1903. He is interred in Citizens Cemetery
in Prescott.
Any word at all would be appreciated greatly.
