Your David Rump Maxwell was a son of Joseph Maxwell. His cousin James Franklin Maxwell was my g grandfather. They lived in SC and came to Alabama about 1840. James and David enlisted in the CSA together, and served in the 1st Alabama Infantry. David came to Texas after the war. I have tried the Maxwell DNA, and found there are no matches. We were added a new clan, #15.
