I have spent a lot of time trying to trace my family line, my fathers parents divorced when he was very young, and his father died when he was 12. He knew very little about his father, or grandparents. This is what we have found. I am David e. Maxwell, my father is Earl E.Maxwell, His Father was Earl Jones Maxwell,Grandfather Emmet N. Maxwell who married Amanda Jones in 1899, Great Grand father Walker Maxwell, who married Sarah J. Shivers. this  is as far as we have gotten. 1880 census was the oldest record we have found. if any one recognizes any of these names, please contact me. thank you.
