Her name was Elizabeth Sandiford. I have found record of her marriage to James Wood at Midway Congregational Church in Liberty County but no record of her birth. I have a book on the history of Coweta County, dated 1928, that names James Maxwell as her grandfather.I suspect that she may be the daughter of Mary Esther Maxwell, daughter of your James's brother, Audley.I think the author of the book may have made a mistake, and James Maxwell was actually her great-grandfather. I'm still trying to figure this out. Mary Esther's second marriage was to a John Sandiford. In my records, I have a Thomas Maxwell who was the son of James Maxwell( from Scotland) who married Patty Audley. No marriage or children are listed of this Thomas Maxwell on the tree that I have.
