I may be able to shed some light on the Sidbeck connection. My mother was born Signe Sidbeck in Thompson, Michigan. Her father was the oldest of the Sibeck family that settled in Schoolcraft county from Portom ,Finland. Abraham was his younger brother. As children my brothers & I called her " kissing aunt Lizzie". For reasons unknown to me they spelled their name "Sidback". Both Abe & Lizzie are buried in Manistique, Mi. They had 2 sons, one is buried in Iowa & the other is buried in Alaska. I did a query & was answered by a man in Stockholm, he grew up where my father was born ( Overmark, Finland ) which is not too far from Portom so he researched both families for me. He got my paternal side back into the 1500's. I have infp on the rest of the Sidbeck's if you are interested please let me know.
