Rowland was born in Bromyard April 13 1790,  son of John Maxwell, surgeon,  and Penelope Severne. He joined the 15th Regiment of foot aged 15 and served in the Carribean, Canada and Ireland and left the British army as a captain in April 1825. We have traced all his siblings but have found nothing on Rowland after he left the army. Does anyone have Rowland in their family tree?
