Haggs Castle

This picture shows Haggs Castle after its 1860 restoration but before it was extended at the end of the nineteenth century. The castle had been used as the dower house for the Nether Pollok ladies until the middle of the eighteenth century, but then fell into disrepair. Its appearance here is much as it would have appeared when it was built in 1585.
