I am looking for Maxwells in Craven and New Hanover Counties, from which Jones was formed in 1779 and Onslow was formed in 1734. Our lines had many members who left NC for GA after 1800. My nephew has submitted his DNA to the Maxwell DNA. Perhaps you might also submit your DNA to see if you are related to our Maxwells. We do not match closely the Maxwells who entered Pennsylvania.
