| I am a descendant of William Maxwell II, b 1749 Ireland migrated to Craven Co NC then to Dobbs, married Elizabeth Croom in Dobbs Co. They settled in Duplin. He, his 6 brothers and his father William I migrated with him. The brothers were: John, James, Hugh, Arthur, Harold, and Robert. They all settled in the surrounding counties of Craven. I have a copy of the William Maxwell Bible from NC Archives and much more documented info on this family which I just submitted as a DAR supplement. If I can answer any questions abt this family will be happy to do so. |
