I am trying to find a TN history to connect my Sarah (Maxwell) Martin. She was born in TN in 1827 and married Isaac Martin in Crawford County IL in 1857. She has a 10 year old son(?) living with them in the 1860 census; he married and they all move to KS and are in the 1870 census, living together. She is a widow in the 1880 census and then I lose her. I believe she is mother of my husband's grandfather, Thomas Columbus Maxwell , born in Knox County TN.in 1847. Was she a single mother named Sarah Maxwell or was that a married name and Martin was a second marriage?  Help!!
