Hi Paul
I've been searching for a while to get your details back.
My computer's motherboard failed and I lost a lot of stuff including my contact file.
I'm not sure where we were up to but I've now managed to get my direct tree back to the early 1700's and found the link between the Stobas of Southfield (the farmers) and Lochabriggs (the quarrymen).   Catherin Stoba for whom I have the marriage banns 22NOV 1706 Smailholm, Roxboroughshire which is 65m ENE of Locharbriggs and likely a Northumbrian Stoba but the date is just earlier than my last Locharbriggs Stoba.   It would be great to link her up to both sides.
The Northumbrian Stobas have direct links to Liverpool as early railway engineers and workers so as I know our line (no pun intended) comes from Dumfries we have the Farmers, the Quarrymen, the Railwaymen & the Scousers  if we can join up the dots we've got South Scotland & Nothern England in a grip of steel.Because of health reasons and moving house (now at 11 Hillview Liverpool L17 0EQ ph 0151 724 6105)I haven.t done much recently, but I'll keep picking at it.
You could do me a small favour if you can and let me have our other Aussie cousins contact details cos that got lost in the crash.
I am likely to have a CD of my tree done soon and will let you have one asap.
regards
Ken
