My great grandfather James Albert Oliver Maxwell aka "JAO" married to Amelia Ruth McNair owned land in Amsterdam, GA that backed on the GA/FLA line near Tallahassee.  This land is now owned by a mining company.  Their daughter Lyda Ellen Maxwell m. to John Isaiah Perry were my grandparents.  An Elder John A. Maxwell (father of "JAO")came to Georgia from Cumberland County North Carolina.  Do you see any connection here?  If so, would love to hear from you.
