My father's family is from Carroll County, Indiana, and is descended from William Maxwell the printer. I was born in California and moved to Oregon in 1995. As I and some members of my immediate family are the first Catholics in centuries in my strain of the Maxwells, I am naturally curious about the late Fr. James Maxwell.  He was for many years pastor of St. Paul, Oregon, and is still fondly remembered in that parish.  Does anyone know more about him?
