Title: Captain Eustace Maxwell Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders
Posted by: David Blair
Date: 28 August 2002

Researching Captain Eustace Maxwell who set up a Resistace Network during WW2 in Scotland. The name given to this unit was 201 Battalion (Auxiliary unit)using the cover of Home Guard members, the task of this unit was to disrupt the German Invasion Forces had Britain been invaded.
The result of my research will be a book dedicated to the Scottish involvement of the Nationwide Resistance Movement. Eustace Maxwell was a key figure in the early days of this secret and important organization. Any information on the man and his life would be an excellent addition to the Scottish story on the Auxiliary units. Manythanks.
