Title: | Captain Eustace Maxwell Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders and Gavin |

I know of David's research and can provide some more biographical info which might help the geneologists. Eustace Maxwell was apparently the brother of Gavin, famed author of "Ring of Bright Water", who should be memorable in family trees! Gavin spent the war as an instructor in and SOE or Commando training centre in West Scotland. Eustace apparently died suddenly playing tennis shortly after the war. Their father had been an officer in WW1. Hope it helps! |
