Good Afternoon William. Excuse my writing to you but I discovered your forum while looking for information regarding my birth parents. I am led to believe that my birth mother is Esther Mulligan (Essie) who married your Gradfathers brother Thomas Theodore Maxwell after I was born and given up for adoption. I am aware that Essie is still alive and in Aucher but elderly and quite frail and that Tom died in 2017. Also a brother Colin sadly died in 2019. I assume that no one in the family knows about my existence lol so this is a very delicate matter and if you get this and want to enquire more it would have to be with great sensitivity. I was adopted by Irish parents and educated mainly in England but I am acutely aware of the secrecy in Irish families. I would love to be in touch with the family and have had contact with a 2nd cousin called Lesley Maxwell through the Ancestry website, her mother is aware of me but not her father Stephen. More than happy for you to contact me if you wished too pursue contact, but fully appreciate this may be a shock to others in the family, not least my siblings. Kind regards Phil
