Good Afternoon (or whatever your local time is!!) As you can see my name is William Maxwell, I'm from Augher, Co. Tyrone Northern Ireland. (2 miles from Clogher) My Grandfather is called William Ernest Maxwell, and as far as I know his father was also William. My Grandfathers brothers are James (Jim), Thomas (Tom) and Albert (deceased) all born at Mullaghmore Augher, Co. Tyrone. My Grandfather also had two uncles (neither married) Sam and Joshua. The Maxwell name originates in Scotland and we moved here during the plantation of Ulster. Our 'branch' of the Maxwell family is Protestant and we have been in the Augher Area for at least 4 Generations, back to the time of John James (the name is not familiar to me) If you think this information is of any use I can ask my grandfather for more detail!
