Robert,
I don't know if we are connected, but my great-great-grandmother's name was Sue Maxwell. She married Dr. Thomas Jones Pickens Jr. whose great-grandfather was a General in the Rev. War& who Pickens, SC is named for. Her father was a Samuel Earle Maxwell (b. 1819 in Pickens, SC & d. 10-19-1884 in Pickens, SC) His father was John Maxwell (b. 2-8-1791 in Pickens, SC & d. 8-23-1870 in Pickens, SC) His father was Gen. Robert Maxwell(b.1753 in Londonderry, IR & d. 11-12-1787 in Pickens, SC)He was also a General & friend of Gen. Andrew Pickens.  Robert's wife was Mary Elizabeth Anderson, the daughter of Robert Anderson III & Mary Barksdale Pickens.  Robert's father was also a General in the Rev. was & close friend of Gen. Pickens.  Mary was Gen. Pickens' grand-daughter.  Robert's parents were John & Jane Maxwell.  Gen. Pickens & Anderson were also in the first Continental Congress together & helped write our Constitution & Bill of Rights. If you are related, there are 3 Generals with lots of history to be proud of.
