When thinking of something to be proud of I agree with the others who have responded. Look to your own family and the strength they had in coming to America and finding a "new life" for themselves and their descendants. My own great grandfather came over with his wife and children and I am sure that was not an easy trip. But there was strength there and courage for this new life he was creating for his family. Also the strength that was in my father and the courage it took for him to enlist in the military during WWII. And while I am at it have you never changed political parties or voted for the person rather than the party? If you have, you have done nothing different than the Maxwells of old who changed sides to keep their families safe. Remember we carry the genes of many people and I prefer to think my ancestors were smart with much foresight and very courageous. |
