I have been able to trace backwards form Arkansas to Mississippi to Alabama my line of David Maxwells.  The last I can find is David (my great-great grandfather) who was born about 1788 somewhere and lived in Madison County, Alabama in the 1820's and 30's and moved to Desoto County, Mississippi in the late 1830's.  His son, David, was born in 1824 and also had a son, David born in 1856 before moving to Sevier County, Arkansas around 1870 or so.  I am desperately trying to find where it all started and with whom before the early 1800's / late 1700's and eventually get it back to Scotland.  Thanks for any help anyone can be.     David T.
